This is the first step that a person should undertake while seeking to manage the data storage challenge that iPhone brings forth. It is preferably advised to back up data, in other words to create a copy, before copying a file. Open Settings and click your account name; then tap on iCloud, and finally, iCloud Backup. Make sure the check mark is by “Back up this phone” and tap on “Back up Now” for the current backup.
